This fall, Scottsdale’s Old Town Farmers’ Market will be hosting the Farm Sessions, a unique
“farm to table” experience that will take place outdoors during market hours. Farm
“sessions” will be taught every Saturday by a different top local chef to a maximum of ten
participants each week. Every session begins with a farmers market shopping excursion led
by each chef. In celebration of Arizona’s wonderful diverse set of farmers and ranchers, each
chef will demonstrate a seasonal cooking class using only locally sourced ingredients
(ingredients not supplied from the market will be sourced locally as well). Participants will be
supplied with a recipe card/shopping list, resource guide, organic cotton shopping tote and
enough ingredients to prepare the dish for two at home. Each chef will choose a local charity
to support from the proceeds.
