Wearable ArtWalk and Wearable Runway Fashion Show

Scottsdale Fashion Week has confirmed a Wearable ArtWalk gallery line up that spotlights live body painted models, botanical fashions, fashion hounds, couture jewelry collections, and wearable fiber art.

The celebration kicks off on SouthBridge with the Wearable ArtWalk Opening Presentation and Preview Runway Fashion Show from 6-7p.m. where models will showcase exclusive designs on an outdoor runway.

The show will open with Calvin Charles Gallery’s ‘Living Sculpture’ by Deborah Paswaters who will start the runway action with her live body painted models. Ambiance Fleur Eclectics, exhibiting at Occasions! By Design, will close the show with its collection of live botanicals presented as wearable art on fashion models.

Little Black Dress Wines has created a Wearable ArtWalk Passport that will be available at the SouthBridge presentation and the Wearable ArtWalk galleries. Guests are encouraged to wear their own ‘little black dress’ to the event and collect stamps from Wearable galleries for the chance to win two VIP tickets to Scottsdale Fashion Week on November 6 and 7.

The Wearable ArtWalk is free and takes place from 7-9 p.m. in various galleries on Main Street, Marshall Way and Stetson Avenue in downtown Scottsdale. Full details about gallery shows are at www.scottsdalefashionweek.com/artwalk.asp.

Wearable ArtWalk’s musical entertainment begins at 7 pm and includes pop-rock faves Jay & Ash at the Party Before ArtWalk (near the Stetson fashion stage), plus neoclassical pianist Elijah Bossenbroek, the flute sounds of Flavio, and solo singer-songwriter showcase Soliloquies featuring Jeordie and Teneia Sanders.

Throughout the night ArtWalkers will enjoy complimentary samples from the Little Black Dress Wines, Bacon Restaurant, Crudo Café, and Icelandic Glacial Water.

The 3rd annual event is open to the public and is presented by the Scottsdale Gallery Association in conjunction with the City of Scottsdale. Additional sponsors include Little Black Dress Wines, ShowUp.com, and the Scottsdale Downtowner.

The evenings of November 6 and 7 will be alive with over two-dozen runway shows. The Main Runway will be located on the Scottsdale Waterfront at Scottsdale and Camelback Roads. This New York style tented fashion show will showcase leading fashion designers and tastemakers on an 80-foot runway. Coinciding with the In-Tent shows, an outdoor runway under the stars across the Arizona canal at Southbridge will feature up-and-coming designers. Calling All Fashionistas; It’s Time to Celebrate Scottsdale Fashion Week

Scottsdale Fashion Week is back for another year of fabulous fashion! This show brings all of the latest fashions to the runway and the hottest celebrities to the front row. This super hip event draws in fashionistas and up and coming designers in large amounts.

Scottsdale’s Fashion Week will take place November 5 – 7 in the super chic setting of downtown Scottsdale. This year brings the return of the famed Wearable ArtWalk, where models will showcase notable one-of-a-kind pieces of ‘art-to-wear’ clothing and jewelry. This part of the event is completely free and takes place in various galleries throughout the Scottsdale Arts District.

The main event will be the runway shows taking place Friday and Saturday evenings on two different runways in the Southbridge/Waterfront area of downtown. Banana Republic, kate spade, Barneys New York, Chinese designer Zhao Bandi and Eva Franco will take center stage on these runways. And be sure to check out iuk, iuk on the Southbridge Runway Friday evening. This designer was hand selected from a design competition in partnership with the nearby Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art.

In total Scottsdale Fashion Week will host over two-dozen runway shows. The Main Runway will showcase leading fashion designers and will be located at the Scottsdale Waterfront on Marshall Way south of Camelback Road. The outdoor SouthBridge Runway will feature up-and-coming designers and will be located across the Arizona Canal.

Hollywood Fashion Sensation Kevan Hall to Open Scottsdale Fashion Week

Scottsdale Fashion Week has confirmed Hollywood favorite Kevan Hall will open the Waterfront Main Runway with his Spring ‘10 collection on November 6 at 6:00 p.m. The Scottsdale show will mark the second time Hall’s Spring ‘10 collection will be on the runway, coming directly on the heels of LA Fashion Week where it will be previewed on October 17.

Known for his purity of style, incomparable tailoring and sensuously draped streamlined silhouettes, Hall’s award-winning designs have been embraced by fashion retailers and the press. He has masterminded signature looks for Hollywood’s most glamorous celebrities and is recognized for his ‘drop-dead glamour’ as seen on the red carpet with stars like Katherine Heigl, Vanessa Williams, Virginia Madsen, Debra Messing, Anne Hathaway, and Marcia Cross. When discussing his mark on fashion Hall told Ebony, “I’d like my legacy to be a library of beautifully detailed gowns,” Hall said. “When one looks back at all the celebrities I’ve dressed [I’d like people] to say that these were certainly some of the most beautifully dressed women of their day.”

The $200 All Evening Premium show pass includes VIP seating for five designers New York-style, tented Waterfront Main Runway shows on Friday or Saturday nights, complimentary beverages and access to the VIP Showcase. Tickets for Main Runway single shows are $60 and go on sale October 22, based on availability.

The $25 general admission ticket includes access to eight SouthBridge outdoor runway shows on Friday or Saturday nights and access to surrounding video screens that will broadcast the Main Runway shows.
