The stage is set for the 2010 Fiesta Bowl held at University of Phoenix Stadium on January 4th. The 13-0 Boise State Broncos will take on the 12-0 TCU Horned Frogs in what should prove to be an exciting and competitive game and you have a chance to stay in Scottsdale and go to the game for free.

Congratulations to the Texas Longhorns who defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes in the 38th Annual Fiesta Bowl played January 5th at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The game was a great one with Texas winning 24 – 21. Texas QB Colt McCoy was the offensive player of the game after setting a Tostitos Fiesta Bowl record 41 completions on 50 attempts.

Scottsdale has sincerely appreciated hosting the teams, alumni and fans. Thanks for a great game!

For the first time, both the Fiesta Bowl and Insight Bowl team’s bands will battle in the Battle of the Bands.

Marching Into Scottsdale. A Big Bowl Band Bash. Starring the University of Kansas and Minnesota Marching Bands

Date: December 30, 6:00 – 8:00 PM
Location: Waterfront in Scottsdale
Cost: $15 general admission and $25 VIP seating

Not only is Scottsdale the official host city for the Fiesta Bowl, we also host one of the Insight Bowl teams (we’ll find out later today, which team UPDATE: Kansas and their Alumni will stay in Scottsdale). While it still remains to be seen how this game will play out, we are excited to offer fans from Kansas and Minnesota a break from the cold. The Ohio State Buckeyes have won the Fiesta Bowl in 2003, 2004, and 2006. They look to repeat this success in the desert against the Texas Longhorns who must be a little dissapointed they aren’t playing for a National Championship in Miami. This should be a great matchup.

With the 2009 Fiesta Bowl team announcements on Sunday, I thought it might be fun to look back at what some have called the greatest college football game ever. Come prepare for the big game, Saturday, January 3rd, when the Fiesta Bowl ArtWalk will once again liven up the streets of the Scottsdale Arts District. From Noon to 4:00 PM, tour dozens of fine art galleries, listen to live music and root for your favorite Fiesta Bowl team (teams will be announced in early December, the game will be played Monday, January 5th). While in Scottsdale, be sure to check out the Fiesta Bowl Museum to learn about the history and heritage of this college football extravaganza.
