    • ]]>     On Halloween Old Town Scottsdale’s hottest restaurant, CANAL, hosts a Halloween Costume event. The restaurant is a fusion of food, fashion and entertainment, playing host to acclaimed DJs and dazzling on a regular basis with fashion shows on the illuminated runway. In typical “fashion” there is a stylish “costume walk-off” competition on the runway, with a cash prize for the best costume! In addition, the restaurant will be decorated in chic festive décor while Chef Justin Beckett prepares a specialty-themed menu. The 30-inch projection screens also will broadcast the 1970’s Addam’s Family favorite television show.

    Internationally acclaimed clothing designer Zang Toi, who has a worldwide following of his couture lines, joins Scottsdale Fashion Week November 6-8, 2009.  Toi will headline the Saturday night, Nov. 8 runway lineup and will personally be on hand to present his collections.

    Toi is known for creating timeless elegance in his lines and thus appeals to women of all ages as evidenced by followers such as Ivana Trump, Eva Longoria, Debra Messing, Patti Labelle, Farrah Fawcett, Angela Bassett and Fergie (Black Eyed Peas).

    The third-annual Scottsdale Fashion Week returns to downtown Scottsdale Nov. 6-9, 2008, and promises to draw record crowds of fashion-forward attendees with 50 shows taking place on two major runways.

    Anchored by Scottsdale Fashion Square to the north and continuing south through the Scottsdale Waterfront and Southbridge areas to the downtown Arts District, this year’s event also will include an expanded luxury pavilion of fine living.  Purveyors of fashion, design, spas, wellness and beauty services will set up shop to create a high-end and exclusive experience that no fashion aficionado will want to miss.
