Sky Harbor Makes Traveling Easy

There’s no doubt about it – air travel can be stressful these days. But thanks to the welcoming staff and passenger-friendly amenities at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, getting to and from Scottsdale just got a whole lot easier. Plus, the airport is only 10 miles from downtown Scottsdale, which means you’re just minutes from the city’s finest hotels and resorts.
- Sky Harbor Navigators: These friendly, purple-jacketed volunteers are on a mission to make your experience at Sky Harbor easier and more enjoyable. Navigators located throughout the airport provide directions, information and other assistance and are just one of the reasons why Sky Harbor was recently named “America’s Friendliest Airport” by passenger vote.
- Rental Car Center: Sky Harbor’s spacious rental car center is home to 11 individual agencies and boasts enough cars to fill three football fields, making it easy to find transportation that’s just right for you. The center also offers a Fresh Gourmet to Go store, where you can pick up salads, sandwiches, beverages and sundry items before heading out for Scottsdale.
- Dining & Shopping: Sky Harbor’s three terminals are home to an exciting mix of more than 58 retail shops, 51 eateries and 14 restaurants and bars. You’ll find everything from unique Southwest gifts and Native American art to books and sportswear, not to mention outstanding dining options that will satisfy every taste. Those looking for healthy cuisine will find such delights as veggie burritos at Oaxaca (Terminal 4), sushi and edamame at Yoshi’s Asian Grill (Terminal 4), and low-fat muffins, salads and fruit at Paradise Bakery (Terminals 2, 3 and 4).
- Phoenix Airport Museum: The Phoenix Airport Museum is one of the largest museums of its kind in the nation and has a collection of more than 500 works of art, including pieces by renowned air and space artist Robert McCall (1919-2010). At Sky Harbor, you will find unique art exhibits in all three terminals and the Rental Car Center.
- Play Areas for Kids: If you’re traveling with children, Sky Harbor offers play areas in Terminal 3 (between gates 7 and 9) and Terminal 4 (close to gate B19).
- Pet Parks: Sky Harbor has three areas for pets to stretch their legs, drink water and take potty breaks. Check out The Pet Patch east of Terminal 2, The Paw Pad on the west side of Terminal 3, and The Bone Yard on the west side of Terminal 4.
- Visual Paging System: If you get separated from your traveling party, just stop at one of Sky Harbor’s Paging Assistance Locations. Pages are announced verbally and displayed visually on monitors throughout the terminals.
