Celebrate Earth Day at Pinnacle Peak Park
Residents are invited to celebrate Earth Day at one of the most scenic spots in Scottsdale – Pinnacle Peak Park.
The park is hosting an Earth Day celebration from 8 to 11 a.m. this Saturday, April 18, featuring displays and presentations on a number of health, recycling and environmental programs.
Members of the nonprofit group Friends of Pinnacle Peak Park will be on hand to discuss the plants, animals and geography on this special area. Representatives of the Scottsdale Fit City program will be available to detail and promote the communitywide health and fitness program.
The Scottsdale Fire Department will have a display about its hazardous materials response team and there will be information available on several other “earth-friendly” city programs such as recycling, Green Building and environmental services.
Pinnacle Peak Park is located at 26802 N. 102nd Way – one mile south of Dynamite Boulevard and Alma School Road. For more information about the park or Earth Day activities, call (480) 312-0990 or visit: http://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/parks/Pinnacle.asp
