Barrett-Jackson 38 Day Countdown

Barrett-Jackson recently held its 38th anniversary with a 38 day countdown celebration at the W Hotel in Scottsdale in partnership with 944 Magazine. Hundreds of people showed up for this event. There was no particular structure to the event other than to just have a good time and additionally to try some of Barrett-Jackson’s signature martinis. A handful of Barrett-Jackson’s rare car collection, such as the 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible and the 1947 Allard, were on display at the W Scottsdale to give a sneak peak of what to expect and to be auction during the actual event to be taken place on January 11-18 at Westworld.

Am I alone in thinking that the Henkel building at Scottsdale and the 101 is hideous and would better be placed in an Airport industrial park in a large Eastern city?
I fail to see what Scottsdale’s famous antigrowth, antibusiness and antiheight reputation got us when the City fathers (and mothers) have allowed a huge ugly box be placed in the most visible (and likely future City Center).
